Comedy festivals in Barcelona this month
Two comedy festivals have dates in Barcelona in November 2026. The Barcelona Fringe runs from 6 to 15 November. Hilària runs from 11 to 15 November. Both sites give their own dates, so the two weeks overlap from the 11th.
The Fringe is mostly in English and mixes pay what you want shows with ticketed ones. Hilària's own site is in Catalan, and Ara counts nine shows. If you want comedy in English, start with our Barcelona Fringe guide.
A word on ties. John runs the Barcelona Fringe and The Comedy Clubhouse. He is a friend of whoever owns this site, and the Clubhouse runs two of our top picks. The six criteria in how we rate apply to every club.

The festivals at a glance
| Festival | Dates | Language | Tickets | Where |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Barcelona Fringe | 6 to 15 November 2026 | Mostly English, some Spanish, Italian and Catalan | Pay what you want, or fixed prices up to €24 online | Eight venues, both Clubhouse rooms among them |
| Hilària | 11 to 15 November 2026 | Catalan site; language of each show not read | Sold through the festival site; prices not read | Several spaces in the city, since El Molino closed |
The table holds only what each festival's own site, or the press, says. A gap means we could not read the answer, and we say so rather than guess.

Barcelona Fringe, 6 to 15 November
The Fringe is the festival with an English-language programme. Its own site calls it a collaboration between the biggest comedy brands and venues in Barcelona, with comedians from all over the world. The site promises many formats, a flea circus among them.
The Comedy Clubhouse spearheaded the festival, and both Clubhouse rooms host shows. Chortle reported its first line-up in October 2024.
Our full guide covers the dates, the eight venues, how tickets work and a day-by-day programme: Barcelona Fringe Festival 2026. Our scorecard picks from it are in our Fringe picks.

Hilària, 11 to 15 November
Hilària calls its festival five days of comedy, from 11 to 15 November 2026. Its agenda lists Ronda vermut on Saturday 14 November at 12:30, Sofisticada, by Maria Juan, the same day at 22:30, and Roast al Foraster on Sunday 15 November at 20:30.
Ara reported on 19 September 2026 that Hilària offers nine shows with more than thirty guest artists. Because El Molino has closed, the shows are spread across several spaces in the city. The festival's director told Ara that it is made in Catalonia with Catalans in mind.
We did not read ticket prices or the room of each show. Both are on the festival's own agenda, which is the page to trust.

What we could not confirm
We list a festival only when its own site gives dates for 2026. The International Comedy Festival Barcelona has a site that loads an old page, with no events and no 2026 dates, so it is not listed.
Ara says there are already ten comedy festivals in the country and that 240,000 comedy tickets were sold in Barcelona last year. We found dates for two festivals in November. If you know of another with dates, send it to us.

Choosing between them
For comedy in English, take the Fringe. For Catalan-language comedy, take Hilària. They overlap from 11 to 15 November, so the first week of the Fringe, from 6 to 10 November, leaves the last weekend free for both.
To pick a night, open what's on this week. For a budget, see the date night guide, and for four or more, the group night out guide. Our Top 10 comedy shows ranks the shows by score.
The two Clubhouse rooms host a large share of the Fringe. Read The Clubhouse: Laietana and The Comedy Clubhouse: Canvis Nous for the stairs, the food and the prices.

Questions people ask
Which comedy festivals are on in Barcelona in November 2026?
Two have dates we could confirm: the Barcelona Fringe from 6 to 15 November and Hilària from 11 to 15 November. The International Comedy Festival Barcelona has an old site with no 2026 dates, so we do not list it. We add a festival once its own site gives dates for the year.
Is the Barcelona Fringe in English?
Mostly, yes. The festival's own site describes shows in several languages, and most of the shows we read are in English, with some in Spanish, Italian and Catalan. Each show in our programme carries its language, so you can check it by eye before you book. The event page repeats it.
Is Hilària in Catalan?
Hilària's own site is in Catalan, and the newspaper Ara describes its line-up as made by and for Catalans. We have not read a language label for each show, so check the show page before you book. Comedy in English is easier to find at the Barcelona Fringe and at the two Clubhouse rooms.
How do I buy tickets for the Fringe?
Each show has its own booking page. Pay what you want shows are free to reserve, and you pay what you think the show was worth at the end. Ticketed shows have a fixed price, and the festival says they are likely to sell out. Our Fringe guide explains both and links every show.
Do the Fringe and Hilària overlap?
Yes, from 11 to 15 November. The Fringe starts on 6 November and ends on 15 November, and Hilària runs for five days from the 11th. If you want both, spend the first week on the Fringe and keep the last weekend for Hilària. Check both sites for the shows you want.
