The short answer
English comedy runs on every day of the week in Barcelona, and nearly all of it sits in the two rooms of The Comedy Clubhouse. Monday to Wednesday are small, cheap nights. Thursday brings improv and a bilingual showcase. Friday to Sunday carry the bigger showcases. This guide takes the days in order, with the times and prices on the event pages we read on 2 November 2026.
Free: the open mics on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, and the Wednesday pub quiz. Paid showcases: Wednesday and Sunday at Laietana, Friday and Saturday at Canvis Nous. Improv: Thursday evening.

What is on Monday and Tuesday?
Both days belong to open mics at Laietana, in The Alcove, and all are free. On Monday, Coming In Hot starts at 19:30 with doors at 19:00. Shitty Mic follows at 21:00 with doors at 20:30. The club describes the second as open to anyone, from professionals to newcomers.
On Tuesday, Fat Goose starts at 19:30 and calls itself the most unpredictable English open mic in the city. Big Mic Energy takes the 21:00 slot on the first and third Tuesday of the month. It is an open mic for women, non-binary comedians and newcomers.
On the fourth Tuesday, New Jokes, Who Dis? sits in the same 21:00 slot. The page says top comedians try out freshly written jokes. That makes it a night to watch, not a night to sign up for. Our open mic guide lists every one of these nights in a table.

What is on Wednesday?
Wednesday has two nights at Laietana. The Pub Quiz Show starts at 20:00, is free, and pairs teams with one comedian. Wednesday Night Comedy starts at 21:00 and is a showcase. It costs €8 online, €10 at the door and €7 per person for a group.
The pages do not say how long the quiz lasts, so we cannot tell whether you can play it and stay for the showcase. Ask the club if you want both.
Across town, Craft Barcelona lists Punchline Passport on Wednesday at 19:30, with doors at 19:00. Entry is free with pay what you want. We read only the 4 November date, and the Meetup page says the line-up changes each week.

What is on Thursday?
Thursday is the improv night. Typical Adult Behavior starts at 20:00 at Laietana and is billed as fast-paced and unscripted. The prices match Wednesday: €8 online, €10 at the door, €7 for a group.
At 22:00 The Spanglish Show takes over the same venue. It mixes English and Spanish, and the host is Ricardo Andrade Malo. Tickets are €10 online, €12 on the door, and €8 each for groups. Two November dates have pages: the 5th and the 26th.
The third option is Secret Comedy Club in El Raval. Thorny Thursday runs from 22:00 to 23:30, and the Meetup page gives it as weekly until 17 December 2026. It lists no price. For more improv, read our improv guide.
A bar called Imprfcto advertises English stand-up every Thursday at 21:00, paid as you leave. Its ticket page is undated, so treat it as unconfirmed.

What is on Friday?
Friday starts early. Show Up Go Up, a free open mic open to anyone who shows up, begins at 17:30 with doors at 17:00. One Friday a month, at 19:00, the Anything Else? open mic welcomes music, spoken word and storytelling, for €5 online or €7 on the door.
The main shows are at Canvis Nous. The Friday Spotlight starts at 20:00. Friday Night Live follows at 22:00 and is described as a rotating mix of touring comedians with surprise drop-ins. Each costs €12 online, and groups pay €10. Neither page states a door price.
Because they are two hours apart, a Friday can be a double bill. We have no evidence on whether the club offers a combined ticket, so each is booked on its own.

What is on Saturday?
Saturday at Laietana opens with the free Open Writing Workshop at 15:00. Show Up Go Up follows at 17:00, with doors at 16:30. The two sit back to back in the same room, so a first-timer can write in the afternoon and perform before dinner. The details are in our workshops guide.
The Saturday Spotlight is the evening showcase. It starts at 20:00, and from 21 November it is at Canvis Nous. A Fringe edition on 7 November was held at Laietana. It costs €12 online, €15 at the door and €10 for a group.

What is on Sunday?
Sunday Night Comedy starts at 20:00 at Laietana. It costs €10 online, €12 at the door and €8 for a group. The pages we read list it on 22 and 29 November.
The afternoon belongs to workshops. The Open Improv Workshop and the Open Clown Workshop alternate every other Sunday at 15:00, both free. On 29 November, Ridiculab, a clown-tagged open mic, starts at 18:00.
Mint Bar lists Basemint Comedy as a weekly Sunday stand-up show with a start at 20:30, hosted by Hector Ayala and for adults. The ticket page shows the event as ended, so we cannot confirm a current date.

Which night suits which plan?
For a first visit with little time, pick a Friday or Saturday showcase at Canvis Nous. For a tight budget, pick Monday or Tuesday. For improv, pick Thursday at 20:00. For a Spanish-learning night, pick the Thursday 22:00 show, which is bilingual by design.

How do festival weeks change the pattern?
The Barcelona Fringe runs from 6 to 15 November 2026 and fills both Clubhouse rooms. During those ten days the regular Friday nights were not listed, and many one-off shows replace them. Our Fringe picks post covers the festival.

Questions people ask
Is there English comedy in Barcelona every night?
At The Comedy Clubhouse, yes: in the listings we read for November 2026, every day of the week had at least one English event. Outside the Clubhouse the English nights are weekly at most, and some are unconfirmed. On a quiet Monday or Thursday the choice is small, so check the dated list before you set out.
Which night is cheapest?
Monday and Tuesday. The open mics at Laietana cost nothing, and so does the Wednesday pub quiz and the Friday and Saturday afternoon open mic. Among paid shows, Wednesday Night Comedy is the cheapest at €8 online. Groups of four or more pay less per head on most paid nights.
Which night suits a first visit?
Friday or Saturday. The Spotlight showcases at Canvis Nous are the club's weekend headline nights, and the Friday one is billed with a featured headliner. Book online, since the door price is higher where the pages list one. Sunday Night Comedy at Laietana is a calmer option if you want an early finish.
Do the weekly nights run during the Fringe?
Not all of them. During the festival, from 6 to 15 November 2026, the Friday Spotlight and Friday Night Live had no listing. Show Up Go Up was missing on the Fridays and Saturdays of those weeks. The regular nights return afterwards. Our weekly page shows what runs now.
Can I get in without booking?
The pages list a door price for several showcases, which suggests a door sale exists. They do not say whether a night can sell out. A seat is held only until the show starts, so arrive early. For a Friday or Saturday showcase, booking online is the safe choice and costs less.
Are there English nights outside the Clubhouse?
A few. Thorny Thursday at Secret Comedy Club runs late on Thursdays, and Punchline Passport at Craft Barcelona lists a Wednesday evening. Two bars, Imprfcto and Mint Bar, advertise weekly English stand-up, but we found no confirmed 2026 dates for them. Treat all four as worth a check, not as certain.
