The short answer
The Comedy Clubhouse runs shows every day of the week in two rooms on the edge of the old town. The list at the top of this page shows what is coming, with the room, the language and the price of each show. The paragraphs below explain how to read it.
Most nights are in English. Open mics, a pub quiz, karaoke and the workshops are free. A normal showcase costs €8 to €12 online. Fringe weeks add more shows and a few dearer tickets, as much as €24 for a touring headliner.
If you only have one evening, pick by the day. The weekday shows are at The Clubhouse: Laietana. The Friday and Saturday showcases are at The Comedy Clubhouse: Canvis Nous. Both rooms are in our Top 10 comedy clubs, in places 1 and 2.
At a glance. Two rooms, about two minutes apart on foot. Language: English unless the listing says otherwise. Price: free to €12 on a normal week, online cheaper than the door. Book on the club's showcases page or the event page of the show. Data read on 2 November 2026.
Source: the club's weekly showcases list and English events list, read on 2 November 2026.
Where the two rooms are
Laietana is at Via Laietana 6. Canvis Nous is at Carrer dels Canvis Nous 10. Both addresses are in Ciutat Vella, postcode 08003. A two-minute walk separates them, per the club, so a first show in one room and a late one in the other is realistic.
Laietana splits its shows across The Alcove, which is the upper floor, and The Lounge, which is the lower one. Eating during the show is only possible in The Alcove. Canvis Nous is a basement down a very steep stair, with a railing and no kitchen.
Neither room has a published seat count, so we cannot say how many people a show holds. Event pages also name "The Rumpus Room" and "Upstairs" at Canvis Nous. In the list, the room column repeats whatever name the club prints on the event page.
During the Barcelona Fringe the club also lists a few shows at Casino Barcelona (Cotton Club). That is not a Clubhouse room, and its tickets can carry an ID condition, so read the event page for those. Our reviews cover Laietana and Canvis Nous in full, with the access notes.

Six kinds of night
The shows fall into six types. Knowing the type tells you what you will get before you read a single title.
Open mics
Four open mics run in the first days of the week, all at Laietana in The Alcove, all free. Coming In Hot and Fat Goose start at 19:30, Shitty Mic and Big Mic Energy at 21:00. Big Mic Energy, held on the first and third Tuesday of the month, is pitched at women, non-binary comedians and first-timers.
At the weekend, Show Up Go Up is the relaxed one, on Friday at 17:30 and Saturday at 17:00. The event page says performers only need to turn up. Our open mics guide has the full table and how the lists work.
Showcases
A showcase is a line-up of several comedians, usually with a host. These are the club's main paid nights. Wednesday Night Comedy is at 21:00 and Sunday Night Comedy at 20:00, both in The Lounge at Laietana. The Friday Spotlight at 20:00 and Friday Night Live at 22:00 run at Canvis Nous, as does The Saturday Spotlight at 20:00.
The Spanglish Show on Thursday at 22:00 is a showcase that mixes English and Spanish. Trinxat, on the last Friday of the month at 19:00, is stand-up in Catalan.
Solo hours
A solo hour is one comedian for one show, often a touring act. In the November 2026 data, solo hours cost from €5 for a smaller act to €24 for Noam Live in Barcelona. Most sit between €7 and €12. A "WiP" in a title means work in progress: the comedian is trying out new material.
Improv and format shows
Improv is made up on the spot. Typical Adult Behavior on Thursday at 20:00 is the weekly one, and our improv guide lists the rest. Format shows give comedy a game to play, such as a quiz, a dating show, a gong show or a roast-style contest. LOLyamorous is a speed-dating show, for example, where audience pairs have a two-minute date on stage.
Music and the quiz
The Pub Quiz Show on Wednesday at 20:00 is free and played in teams, with one comedian in charge. The BarceNova Music Open Mic on Thursday at 21:00, karaoke on Friday at 23:00 and Live in The Alcove on Saturday at 23:00 are labelled for all languages. They are late, cheap and close to the bar.
Workshops
Free drop-in workshops run on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 15:00: writing, improv and clown. They are for people who want to try comedy, not just watch it. Read the workshops guide before you go.

The week at a glance
This is the shape of a week outside festival time. The showcases page of the club prints a regular weekly pattern, and the event pages match it. Use the dated list above for the real programme, since a festival week replaces some of these slots.
| Day | Laietana | Canvis Nous |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Coming In Hot 19:30 and Shitty Mic 21:00, both open mics | Not a regular showcase night |
| Tuesday | Fat Goose 19:30, then Big Mic Energy or New Jokes, Who Dis? at 21:00 on set Tuesdays | Not a regular showcase night |
| Wednesday | Pub Quiz Show 20:00, then Wednesday Night Comedy 21:00 | Not a regular showcase night |
| Thursday | Three in a row: Typical Adult Behavior opens the night, BarceNova Music Open Mic follows an hour on, and The Spanglish Show closes it | Not a regular showcase night |
| Friday | Show Up Go Up 17:30, karaoke 23:00, Trinxat on the last Friday at 19:00 | The Friday Spotlight 20:00 and Friday Night Live 22:00 |
| Saturday | The afternoon belongs to writers and open mic acts: a writing workshop, then the Show Up Go Up list, and Live in The Alcove late | The Saturday Spotlight 20:00 |
| Sunday | Workshops at 15:00 on alternate Sundays, Jamnation Salvation at 17:15 on the second and fourth Sunday, Sunday Night Comedy 20:00 | Not a regular showcase night |
Two details change the picture. First, the Saturday Spotlight can move to Laietana as a festival edition, as it did in November 2026. Second, a monthly show such as Trinxat or "Anything Else?" only appears on its own Friday, so a Friday can look empty or full depending on the date.

Festival weeks and normal weeks
The Barcelona Fringe took over both rooms for ten days in November 2026. In that stretch the club listed shows from late morning to after midnight, many of them one-hour solo acts, and a lot of them free. Our data shows English shows on every one of those days, often more than ten a day.
After the festival the programme thins out. In the later weeks of November 2026 the list shows between one and five English shows a day. That is still more than any other club in our data offers, but it is a different kind of week. You choose a night; you do not wander in and pick from a menu.
The usual weekly shows also change in a festival week. A Wednesday or Thursday slot can go to a Fringe act, and some open mics pause. If a weekly night matters to you, look at the dated list for the day instead of trusting the pattern. The festival site, Barcelona Fringe, lists its own programme, and our Barcelona Fringe guide shows it day by day.

How to read the dated list
Each row is one performance. The time is the start time on the event page, not the door time. For open mics the club also prints a door time, usually 30 minutes before.
The language column uses EN for English, ES for Spanish, CA for Catalan and IT for Italian. A show can carry more than one code. The price column shows the lowest online price, with the door price underneath when it differs. A group price appears when the club sets one.
Free needs a caveat. A show can be free and still ask for a drink or a donation. Scot Oswald: Rose Garden was listed as free in the data, yet its event page also asked for a donation-style price and a drink. Where the data says so, the list adds a note, and it never shows such a show as plain free.
Every show name links to the club's own event page with our tracking tag, so the club sees that you came from this site. The ticket price you pay is the price on that page.
Source: the dated event pages on thecomedyclubhouse.es, read on 2 November 2026.
What a ticket costs
Across the paid shows in the November 2026 data, the median online ticket is €10. The cheapest paid shows are €5. The dearest is a touring headliner at €24 online, €26 on the door. Door prices are usually two or three euros above the online price.
Groups of four or more pay less on some shows, online only. Wednesday Night Comedy is €7 for a group against €8 for one person. The Friday and Saturday Spotlights are €10 for a group against €12. Our group night out guide lists them all.
Drinks are extra, and each room has its own bar. The club's site names no minimum order. Plan on one or two drinks, since the room is a bar first. Some shows, mostly in festival weeks, ask for what you think the show was worth instead of a fixed price.
Source: the dated event pages, and the ticket answers in the club's FAQ, read on 2 November 2026.
Languages and who the shows suit
The club's own pages contradict each other on language. One says every show is in English; the event pages list a few in Spanish, Italian or Catalan, each with a label. In the November 2026 listings those are a small minority, and the music nights carry an all-languages label.
The Spanglish Show suits a mixed table. Part of the fun is hearing the same joke in two languages. If you speak English but little Spanish, a weekly showcase or a solo hour is easier to follow than the bilingual one.
For people who want a night entirely in Spanish or Catalan, our Top 10 comedy clubs lists other rooms. Teatre Muntaner, Club Cronopios and Teatreneu run on their own programmes. The Clubhouse sets 18 as its general age, and guests of 16 or 17 need an adult with them.
Source: the language answers in the club's FAQ page and the dated event pages, read on 2 November 2026.
Booking in short
Each event page has its own ticket button, and the cart belongs to the club. Paying at the door is allowed unless the show is full. The full rules, including late entry, swaps and the door waitlist, sit in the two room reviews, so we do not repeat them here.
Two habits save trouble. Book ahead for Friday, Saturday and festival evenings. And turn up before the start time, because some solo shows close the doors.
Plan metro and night bus trips on TMB, since the club's pages name no station.

A three-night week, planned
If you are in town for a few days and want to try the club, a simple plan uses the free and cheap nights first. Start with a Wednesday: the pub quiz at 20:00 is free, and Wednesday Night Comedy at 21:00 is €8 online. Both are in the same building, so you can stay put.
On Friday, go to Canvis Nous for The Friday Spotlight at 20:00, which costs €12 online. If you want a second show, Friday Night Live follows at 22:00. Then walk to Laietana for karaoke at 23:00, which is free.
On Saturday, use the daytime for something else. Come back for The Saturday Spotlight at 20:00, again €12 online. On Sunday, end the week with Sunday Night Comedy at 20:00 for €10 online. The what's on this week page keeps the live version of this idea.

How we keep this page current
Every row in the dated list comes from the club's public events list and its event pages, stored with the day each was seen. The list is rebuilt from that data whenever the site is built. It can only show shows we have read, so a show the club adds later waits for the next read.
Nobody from this site has sat in either room for this page, and nothing here pretends otherwise. Prices and times are the club's, with the date we read them. First-hand notes will be marked as such once they exist. How we rate explains the scores behind the Top 10, and the Top 10 comedy shows rank the shows themselves.

Questions people ask
How many shows does The Comedy Clubhouse run?
More than one a day. In the November 2026 listings we read on 2 November, the two rooms list close to two hundred dated shows, and more than half are free. Festival days add many more than a normal week. The dated list at the top of this page is rebuilt from the club's own pages, so use it for the exact count today.
What is the cheapest night at the Clubhouse?
Free. Open mics, karaoke on Friday night, the Thursday music night, the Wednesday quiz and the weekend workshops cost nothing to enter. Among paid shows the lowest online price we found was €5, and showcases usually sit between €8 and €12. Door prices run higher, so buy ahead where you can.
Which room has the Friday and Saturday shows?
On a normal week, The Friday Spotlight, Friday Night Live and The Saturday Spotlight run at Canvis Nous, the basement room. Laietana runs the Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday showcases and most open mics. A festival edition can move a show to the other room, so check the room column in the list before you set off.
Are all the Clubhouse shows in English?
Most are. In our November 2026 data, a few shows are in Spanish, Italian or Catalan, one weekly show mixes English and Spanish, and the music nights are labelled for all languages. The club labels each show that is not in English. Read the language column in the dated list before you pay.
Do I need to book a Clubhouse show in advance?
For Friday, Saturday and festival evenings, yes, because those sell out more often. Midweek you can often decide on the day. Walk-ups are accepted unless a show is full, but the online price is lower than the door price. Whichever you choose, be in your seat before the start time.
Where do I find a show I saw listed here?
Click its name in the dated list. Each name links to the club's own event page, which holds the ticket button, the language, the room and the final price. We read those pages on 2 November 2026 and show the date we checked at the top. If the event page and this list disagree, trust the event page.
