The short answer
Barcelona has plenty of comedy, but not much of it in English. In our data, one club runs English shows on every day of a two-week window: The Comedy Clubhouse. It has two rooms, on Via Laietana and Carrer dels Canvis Nous, about two minutes apart.
The list follows our review score. Laietana comes first: it has shows every night, the most shows of any club, and the widest spread of languages. Canvis Nous, its sister room, is second. Most of the other eight run shows in Spanish or Catalan, so they suit you better if you speak either language or want a local night.
This page covers all ten clubs: where each one is, what it costs, what language it uses and who it suits. Every fact comes from the venue's own page or a ticket page, with the date we read it.
In a hurry? English tonight: the Clubhouse showcases page. A date: Wednesday Night Comedy at 21:00 or the Saturday Spotlight at 20:00. A group: ask for the group price, four people or more. Free: the open mics on Monday and Tuesday. Spanish: Club Cronopios or Teatre Muntaner.

How to read the list
We rank the clubs by their review score, highest first. Each review scores the club on six criteria, and the points add up to 100. The table below shows what each criterion is worth and what earns the points.
| Criterion | Points | What earns them |
|---|---|---|
| Shows and line-up | 25 | How many dated shows the club lists in two weeks, and how many different titles |
| Easy for visitors | 20 | Shows in English on most nights, online booking with prices, a confirmed address and access notes |
| Value for money | 15 | A low typical ticket price, and free shows in the listings |
| Room and atmosphere | 15 | A room built for comedy, a bar or kitchen, and a stated capacity |
| Shows every week | 15 | Shows on several days of each week, and a weekly pattern the club publishes |
| Public ratings | 10 | Ratings on a named platform, quoted with their scope and date |
Why is Laietana first? Three reasons, all in the data. It lists shows on every one of the 14 nights we read, English shows included. It lists 93 dated shows in those two weeks, more than any other club. And its November listings run in four languages: English, Spanish, Italian and Catalan, plus a bilingual Spanglish night.
Canvis Nous scores 92 to Laietana's 93. It costs a little less, but it lists fewer shows and fewer English nights. In third place, Teatre Muntaner leads the Spanish and Catalan rooms with 56.
A dagger marks a club whose total leaves out a criterion with no data. For example, La Sala by LastCrit has no public rating we could check, so its total is calculated on 90 points, not 100. Nothing is guessed to fill a gap.
The language column shows what we found in the dated listings: EN for English, ES for Spanish, CA for Catalan. Where a venue does not state a language, we write what the listing suggests and say it is inferred.
The strip under the table shows the next seven days of dated shows. It changes with the data, and it is only as current as the date at the top of the page. Our what's on this week page lists two weeks.
A word on ties. The Comedy Clubhouse and the Barcelona Comedy Fringe are run by John, a friend of the owner of this site. The same six criteria apply to every club, and every score links to its source on the method page. The About page says who publishes the site.

The ten clubs, one by one
1. The Clubhouse: Laietana (93)
Via Laietana 6, in Ciutat Vella. The newer of the two Clubhouse rooms, with two show floors, The Alcove and The Lounge, and a kitchen that the club says stays open late after the shows.
From 2 to 15 November the club lists 93 dated shows here, with 76 different titles, and English shows on all 14 days. That includes free open mics on Mondays and Tuesdays, a free pub quiz on Wednesdays and a paid showcase on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. A normal showcase costs €8 to €12 online.
The weak points are access and information. Upstairs shows involve three wide stairs without a railing, downstairs shows involve several sets of stairs, and the club does not publish a capacity. Read the full Laietana review.
2. The Comedy Clubhouse: Canvis Nous (92)
Carrer dels Canvis Nous 10, also in Ciutat Vella. The original room: a basement reached by a very steep stair with a railing. It has a bar but no food.
This is where the Friday and Saturday headline showcases run, in English: The Friday Spotlight and The Saturday Spotlight at 20:00, and Friday Night Live at 22:00. Showcase tickets cost €12 online, and groups of four or more pay €10 each.
The room lists 60 dated shows from 2 to 15 November, all of them during the Barcelona Fringe, which runs from 6 to 15 November. Outside the festival, check the date first. The Canvis Nous review has the details and the access notes.
3. Teatre Muntaner (56)
Carrer de Muntaner 4, in the Eixample. A comedy theatre that calls itself the house of comedy, in a building with three floors and 800 square metres. Its own site sells tickets and shows the language of each show: Spanish for most, Catalan for a few.
In the dated listings from 2 to 15 November it lists 21 shows across 7 titles, on four days of each week. The median "from" price is €20, and the comedy shows we read start at €14 to €20. The box office opens 90 minutes before each show.
One show, Corta el cable rojo, has a rating of 9.6 out of 10 from 13,307 votes on Atrápalo and 4.9 out of 5 from 1,386 on Taquilla. Those ratings are for that one show, not for the theatre. We did not find seat counts or accessibility notes. Visit the theatre's site for the programme.
4. La Sala by LastCrit (52.2)
Carrer de Méndez Núñez 7, in Ciutat Vella. A monologue room with sessions on four days of each week, 16 in the two weeks we read, across 12 titles. The shows are in Spanish; one, on 7 November at 22:30, is in Catalan.
The median "from" price is €12. Tickets are sold through Taquilla, which marks the address as approximate. The ticket page, not the map, is the address to trust.
We could not check a current public rating, so the total counts 90 points, not 100. The room has no website that we found, and no capacity or access information.
5. Secret Comedy Club (51)
Carrer de la Junta de Comerç 28, in El Raval. A comedian-run room under a restaurant. The Meetup listing describes a Chilean restaurant upstairs with empanadas and drinks. An older festival listing gives 74 seats in the main space; we did not re-check that number.
Its English night is Thorny Thursday, from 22:00 to 23:30, which the Meetup page describes as a try-out night that also reads out audience highs and lows. The page says it runs weekly until 17 December 2026 and that you can reserve in advance or turn up at the door. It lists no price.
The room also has two Spanish-language runs on Atrápalo: monologues from 7 to 28 November from €12, and a spiritual comedy show from 7 November to 5 December from €15. The Barcelona Fringe lists Dead Parent Society here on Friday 6 November at 20:00 for €5.
We found no official website, no full schedule and no session times for the Atrápalo runs. That is why Secret scores lower for shows and reliability, and why we call it an English night to try, not a venue to plan a whole week around. Public ratings on Atrápalo are for three shows, not the room.
Source: Meetup event page, Atrápalo listing and the Barcelona Fringe, seen 2 November 2026.
6. Club Cronopios
Carrer de Ferlandina 16, in El Raval. A café-theatre that lists a session almost every evening, with Spanish-language monologues and improv. The 2 to 15 November listings show sessions on all seven days of each week, but only two show titles.
The pattern, from the Taquilla listing: Monday to Thursday at 20:00 or 20:30, Friday at 20:15, 20:30 and 22:00, Saturday at 18:00, 20:45 and 21:00, Sunday at 13:00 and 18:00. Sessions marked with a drink include one. The median "from" price is €10.
The only rating is Fever, 4.4 from 18 reviews, for the show Monologues and Improv. With fewer than 20 reviews, we cap what it can add. Read the ticket page before you go, because the address there is approximate.
7. Cafè Teatre Llantiol
Carrer de la Riereta 7, in El Raval. A small café-theatre with stand-up and magic. We read 14 sessions across 5 titles from 2 to 15 November, on four days in the first week and three in the second.
Prices vary more than elsewhere. The Sunday 18:30 sessions start at €14 to €16, while the "vermunologos" sessions on Friday evenings and at noon on Saturdays and Sundays start at €35. The median "from" price is €16.
We found no website and no public rating, so the total counts 90 points, not 100. The language is inferred as Spanish from the listings. Use the Taquilla page for the session you want.
8. Teatreneu
Carrer de Terol 26, in the Vila de Gràcia. A theatre with two rooms, the Sala Xavier Fabregas and the Sala Cafè Teatre, and a programme of comedy, improv, magic and family shows. The shows we read are in Spanish, and each show page states the language.
Its own site lists sessions with "from" prices. The show pages print only the next five sessions, so our count of 11 sessions in the first two weeks is lower than the real number. The median "from" price is €16.
The home page shows a rating of 4.5 from 9,611 reviews, but it names no platform, so we treat it as a claim and leave it out. That is why the total counts 90 points. See the programme.
9. Craft Barcelona
Carrer del Paradís 4, in the Gothic Quarter. A bar with two comedy nights. On Wednesdays, Punchline Passport starts at 19:30, with doors at 19:00 and live music from 21:30. It is in English, free and pay what you want.
We saw only one date, 4 November, and the Meetup text says the line-up changes each week. So we cannot confirm that it runs every Wednesday. The second night is a Spanish-language monologue show with a drink, on Sundays at 18:00 and 18:30, from €12.
Fever lists that Sunday show at 4.4 from 265 reviews. The rating is for the Spanish show, not the English night. See the Meetup page for the English night.
10. Barcelona Comedy Club
This is a promoter, not one room. It runs a Thursday monologue night in El Born at Dr. Flow, Carrer dels Vigatans 8, at 20:30 for €10 with a drink, and a Comedy Selection at ECA on Fridays and Saturdays. The ECA address is not published.
Fever rates the Thursday night at 4.6 from 178 reviews and the ECA selection at 4.1 from 74. Both ratings are for the shows. The language is inferred as Spanish, and English is not confirmed. The median "from" price is €15.
It scores lowest on the room criterion because we found no fixed home. Treat it as a way to book a monologue night with a drink, through Taquilla.

Which club suits your night
A date
Pick a showcase with a fixed start and a short running time. At the Clubhouse, that means Wednesday Night Comedy at 21:00 in Laietana or the Saturday Spotlight at 20:00 in Canvis Nous. If you want dinner, Laietana has the kitchen, and Canvis Nous has none. Our date night guide adds more options by budget.
For a Spanish-language date, the Thursday monologue night at Barcelona Comedy Club includes a drink and costs €10. Check the language on the ticket page first.
A group
The Clubhouse is the one club in our data with a published group price, starting at four people. It is online only and runs from €7 to €10 a head, depending on the show. The corporate page exists, but we have not read it. See the group night out guide.
Alone or new in town
Go to an open mic or the pub quiz at Laietana. They are free, they run on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and nobody expects you to bring anyone. If you want to try stand-up yourself, read our open mics guide and the workshops guide.
Mostly in Spanish or Catalan
Teatre Muntaner, Club Cronopios and Teatreneu run on a regular programme with published session times. If you want a Catalan-language night, the Hilària festival runs from 11 to 15 November 2026, and the Clubhouse lists a Catalan stand-up night on the last Friday of the month.
Source: Clubhouse showcases, the Clubhouse FAQ and our earlier research file on the Hilària dates, seen 2 November 2026.
Booking and what to expect
Three kinds of box office cover the ten clubs. The Clubhouse, Teatre Muntaner and Teatreneu sell on their own sites. Secret, Cronopios, La Sala, Llantiol and Barcelona Comedy Club sell through ticket platforms such as Taquilla, Atrápalo and Fever. Craft Barcelona lists its English night on Meetup.
At the Clubhouse, online tickets are cheaper than the door, and some shows sell out. At the platforms, the final price can include a fee, so compare the total at checkout. Our data records the "from" price only.
Arrive early. The Clubhouse says entry is guaranteed only if you arrive on time, and some solo shows admit no latecomers. Most rooms are small, and a Fringe week can fill a room.
Do not trust a map pin for the smaller rooms. Taquilla marks the addresses of La Sala, Cronopios and Llantiol as approximate, and for Cronopios it says the only valid address is the one on your ticket.
Source: Clubhouse FAQ and the ticket pages linked above, seen 2 November 2026.
Also worth a look
Tinta Roja Comedy Club in Poble-sec, at Carrer de la Creu dels Molers 17, is not in the ten because we could read only two dated shows. It runs a Saturday comedy night at 22:15 with five comedians, from 7 November, for €12 with no booking fee. It is a Spanish-language night for guests aged 16 and over, and Fever rates it 4.6 from 21 reviews.
Two English-language bar nights are not ranked because we could not confirm their 2026 dates. Imprfcto has a Thursday stand-up show at 21:00, and Mint Bar has a Sunday show. Both are in our Top 10 comedy shows, with the caveat attached.
Two more rooms are held in reserve: Teatre Golem's in Gràcia, at Carrer de Sant Lluís 64, and Sala Paral·lel 62 on the avenue of that name. We saw dated shows at both but did not verify them. Jokes and Beers, an English open mic, has no dated 2026 show that we could find.
The Barcelona Fringe runs from 6 to 15 November 2026 and uses both Clubhouse rooms, with Mint Bar, Imprfcto and Secret among its other rooms. Our Barcelona Fringe guide has the dates, the tickets and a day-by-day programme, and the festivals page covers the other festivals this month. The festival site has the official list.

How this list is made
Each club earns up to 100 points: 25 for shows and line-up, 20 for ease for visitors, 15 for value, 15 for room and atmosphere, 15 for reliability and 10 for public ratings. We take the inputs from the venue's own pages, ticket pages and ratings that we quote with their platform, scope and date.
We have not visited the clubs for this list. Nothing here describes a night out at any of them, and we publish no quote we cannot source. Where a fact is missing, we write "not published". How we rate shows the full score sheet and the data gaps for every club.

Questions people ask
Which Barcelona comedy clubs run shows in English?
In our data, three clubs list English shows: The Comedy Clubhouse in its two rooms, Secret Comedy Club in El Raval and Craft Barcelona in the Gothic Quarter. Only the Clubhouse lists them on every day we checked, from 2 to 15 November. The other six clubs in the Top 10 list shows in Spanish or Catalan.
How much does a night of comedy cost?
Most tickets cost €8 to €20. The Clubhouse open mics and pub quiz are free, and a normal showcase is €8 to €12 online. Spanish-language rooms list shows from €10 to €20, some with a drink, and a vermouth-and-show session at one café-theatre starts at €35. Online tickets are usually cheaper than the door.
Can I enjoy a show if I do not speak Spanish?
Yes, if you choose an English night. The Clubhouse labels every show's language on its event pages, and its Thursday Spanglish Show mixes English and Spanish. For the other rooms, we say what each one lists, and where we could not confirm the language, we say that too. Check the listing before you book.
What time do comedy shows start?
Most evening shows at the Clubhouse start at 20:00, 21:00 or 22:00, and Fringe week adds shows from late morning to midnight. Spanish-language rooms list sessions from 13:00 to 22:30. Check the exact time on the booking page, since one room can run two or three shows in an evening.
Is there a good comedy night for a group?
The Clubhouse sells a group price for four or more people on many shows, from €7 to €10 a head online, and it also has a corporate page. Teatre Muntaner and Teatreneu run bigger theatres for Spanish and Catalan shows. See our group night out guide for how to book.
How do you score the clubs?
Each club earns up to 100 points on six criteria: shows and line-up, ease for visitors, value, room and atmosphere, reliability, and public ratings. A criterion with no data is left out and never guessed. The list follows the total, highest first, with no exceptions. The how we rate page shows every score.
