The short answer
Craft Barcelona is a tapas bar near the Gothic Quarter that hosts two kinds of comedy. On Wednesday evening there is a free English stand-up night, Punchline Passport. On Sunday afternoon there is a Spanish monologue show with a drink included.
Go for the English night if you want comedy with no ticket price and no fixed seat. Think twice if you need a night you can plan weeks ahead: we saw only one dated edition of the English night. For a fixed weekly English programme, read the Clubhouse: Laietana review and the Canvis Nous review.
It sits at place 9 in the Top 10 comedy clubs in Barcelona, with 43 out of 100 points, scored on all 100 points available.
At a glance. Address: Carrer del Paradís, 4, 08002 Barcelona (Barri Gòtic). English night: Wednesday at 19:30, free, pay what you want. Sunday show: 18:00 and 18:30, from €12, with a drink. Capacity: not published. Booking for the Sunday show runs through ticket sites.

Where it is
The bar is at Carrer del Paradís 4, postcode 08002. Two sources agree on the street number. The Meetup event places it in the Gothic Quarter, the Barri Gòtic, and the ticket page files it under Ciutat Vella.
No page we read names a metro stop. We therefore do not name one. Use the route planner on TMB, which covers the metro, buses and the night bus, and enter the street address.
The ticket page calls the address approximate and says the only valid address is the one printed on your ticket. For the Wednesday English night there is no ticket to print, so rely on the Meetup text and the map pin together.
One more warning. The Meetup location field for the English night says "not yet specified", while the description names the bar. Check the description on the day.
Open in Google Maps to see the street and the walking time from your hotel.

What the place is like
Craft is a bar first. Fever describes it as a tapas bar with live music, monologue nights and blues evenings, serving craft beer, tapas, pinchos and burgers. It also hosts open mic sessions, according to the same listing.
That changes what a night feels like. In a theatre, the stage is the point. In a bar, the stage shares the room with the drinks, the food and the people who came for neither. A comedian here works close to the audience, and a quiet audience matters.
We found no capacity, no seating plan and no accessibility note, on any page. We print "not published" in the facts table and make no guess. Several Sunday sessions in November and December carry a low availability flag, which tells us the show can fill.
The room score is 5 points out of 15. That is not a verdict on the bar. It reflects missing facts, which is the main weakness of this entry.

What is on in a normal fortnight
We found 5 dated sessions between 2 and 15 November 2026, across 2 titles. That is a thin calendar, and it is the reason this room scores 2 points out of 15 for reliability.
| Date | Time | Show | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wed 4 Nov | 19:30 | Punchline Passport, stand-up in English | Free, pay what you want |
| Sun 8 Nov | 18:00 and 18:30 | Monólogos + bebida, in Spanish | From €12 |
| Sun 15 Nov | 18:00 and 18:30 | Monólogos + bebida, in Spanish | From €12 |
The Sunday show is the steadier of the two. The ticket page lists it every Sunday through the winter and into spring, at 18:00, with a second slot at 18:30 on some dates.
The Wednesday night is the open question. The Meetup text says the line-up rotates each week, which implies a recurring night. A ticket page for 29 July 2026 shows an earlier edition. But we saw only 4 November in our window, so we do not promise a weekly run.

Punchline Passport, the English night
Punchline Passport is billed as a night of English stand-up comedy, hosted by Luke Messina. The Meetup page gives the time as 19:30 on Wednesday, with free entrance and pay what you want.
Pay what you want means you decide the amount at the end of the set. It is common for bar shows. Plan to tip the acts as you would in a pub with live music, and bring cash if the host passes a hat.
The Meetup group that lists it, "English Comedy in Barcelona", shows 4.6 across 732 ratings when we read it on 2 November 2026. That is a rating of the group, not of this night or this bar, so we do not count it for Craft.
Because the line-up rotates, you cannot tell in advance who will be on. A free English night is a good way to test the scene. It is also the right place to look for an act you like before you pay for a ticket elsewhere.
If you want to try the stage yourself, see our stand-up and open mics guide. It lists the open mics with sign-up details.

The Sunday monologue show
Monólogos + bebida means monologues plus a drink. Fever and the ticket pages list it from €12. The title suggests the drink is included, but the pages do not say which drinks count.
The show runs on Sundays at 18:00, with a second session at 18:30 on some dates. The pages state no duration, no cast and no age limit. We read the language as Spanish from the title and the ticket sites.
Fever shows a rating of 4.4 from 265 reviews for this show, seen on 2 November 2026. The listing runs from 8 November to 26 December. That is a rating of one Spanish show, not of the English night, and it earns the room 7 points out of 10.
The ticket page also files this Sunday show under the promoter Barcelona Comedy Club. The promoter sells it, and Craft is the room that hosts it.

What it costs
The English night is free to enter, with pay what you want. The Sunday show lists from €12 on Fever and Atrápalo, and a little more on TaquillaTickets. The median "from" price across our five sessions is €12.
Value is the strongest score here: 11 points out of 15. A free comedy night is rare, and a show plus a drink for €12 is below the €14 to €16 asked at the Spanish-language theatres.
Add the cost of food and drink at the bar. We read no menu, so we give no prices. Budget the same as for any tapas bar.
For other low-cost evenings, see our date night guide and the this week page.

Who Craft suits
Visitors who want English, cheaply
The Wednesday night is the pick, when it runs. It costs what you choose to pay and starts early enough to leave time for dinner afterwards.
A date
The Sunday show with a drink is a gentle first date, early in the evening. The English night suits a couple who like to see new acts and do not mind a bar setting.
A group
We found no group price or booking rule. A bar this size will not hold a large party without notice, so ask the bar first. Our group night out guide lists the shows that do offer group prices.
Someone who wants to perform
Fever says the bar hosts open mic sessions. We found no dates for them, so check with the bar or the Meetup group.
Source: our reading of the listings above and the group night out guide, seen 2 November 2026.
Booking and practical notes
The English night is free, and the Meetup text mentions an Eventbrite link that we did not open. Confirm the booking route on the Meetup page before you go.
The Sunday show is sold on the ticket sites that Taquilla compares: Atrápalo, TaquillaTickets and Fever. Atrápalo lists €12, TaquillaTickets adds a small surcharge on the November and December dates, and Fever lists €12 for the later sessions.
We found no website for the bar itself. Contact details and opening hours are not in our data. Ask on the night.

How Craft compares
Craft is a bar with a small programme, where the other entries are theatres, clubs or promoters. Against the Clubhouse rooms, it offers one English night against a full week. Against Cafè Teatre Llantiol and Teatreneu, it is cheaper but less certain.
Read the Top 10 comedy shows for ranked nights across all venues, and the Top 10 clubs for the whole list.

How we scored the room
Craft earned 8 points out of 25 for shows and 10 out of 20 for visitors. It earned 11 out of 15 for value and 5 out of 15 for the room. Reliability earned 2 out of 15, and ratings 7 out of 10. The total is 43 points out of 100.
The rating comes from Fever: 4.4 from 265 reviews, for the Spanish Sunday show only. The English night has no rating of its own.
Data gaps: the capacity, the website and whether the Wednesday night runs weekly. We name them because they limit how far a reader can trust the score.
We have not been to the bar for this page, and nothing here describes a visit. The slot for our own notes is empty until someone has been.

What public reviews say
These are short quotes from public Tripadvisor reviews of the bar, copied as they appear and credited by the name shown. They describe the bar and an English night in 2017, not today's Wednesday show. We did not write them and cannot vouch for them. Tripadvisor rates the bar 4.3 out of 5 from 290 reviews.

Questions people ask
Is the stand-up at Craft Barcelona free?
The English night, Punchline Passport, is listed as free entrance with pay what you want, hosted by Luke Messina at 19:30 on Wednesday. We saw one dated edition, on 4 November 2026. The Sunday monologue show is not free: it lists from €12 and includes a drink, according to its title.
Does Punchline Passport run every week?
We could not confirm it. The event text says the line-up rotates each week, and a ticket page for 29 July 2026 shows an earlier edition, which points to a recurring night. Only the 4 November date appears in our window. Check the Meetup group or the host before you plan a trip around it.
Is the Sunday monologue show in English?
No evidence says so. The show is called Monólogos + bebida, sold on Spanish-language ticket pages, and we infer Spanish. The ticket pages give no language line, so read the listing before you book. For English comedy on Sunday, the Clubhouse runs Sunday Night Comedy at its Laietana room.
Where is Craft Barcelona?
It is at Carrer del Paradís 4, 08002 Barcelona, in the Barri Gòtic according to the Meetup event. No source we read names a metro stop, so plan the route on TMB. The ticket page marks the address as approximate and says the address printed on your ticket is the valid one.
Can I eat at Craft Barcelona?
Fever describes the place as a tapas bar with live music, monologue nights and blues evenings, serving craft beer, tapas, pinchos and burgers. We did not read a menu, so we cannot give dishes or prices. Ask the bar about food on the night, and book the Sunday show early.
How big is the room?
No source gives a capacity, and we found no seating plan or accessibility note. It is a bar, so expect a small, informal setting with standing and table space. Several November Sunday sessions carry a low availability flag, which suggests the space fills. Book ahead for the Sunday show.
Is there a drinks minimum at Craft?
The Meetup event for the English night says free entrance, pay what you want. It names no drinks minimum, no table charge and no cover. It does promise craft beer, cocktails, drinks and food through the evening. A bar can still expect you to order, so ask when you arrive, and tip the acts if you stay for the show.
Does Craft serve alcohol-free drinks?
We found no drinks menu, so we cannot list alcohol-free options. The Meetup event mentions craft beer, cocktails and other drinks. A Tripadvisor reviewer in April 2024 mentioned a Fanta at over €3, so soft drinks exist. For a zero-alcohol beer or a mocktail, ask the bar staff before you order. Do not assume.
Can vegetarians eat at Craft?
Probably. A Tripadvisor reviewer in September 2021 wrote that the bar is very good for vegetarians, naming veggie burgers and nachos. Another reviewer, in April 2024, said there was no gluten-free food for coeliacs. We read no current menu, so confirm with the bar if you have an allergy or a strict diet.
What time do the doors open for the Wednesday night?
The Meetup event gives doors at 19:00 and a start at 19:30, with the listing running to 21:00. It adds that live music follows at 21:30 and advises early arrival for a good seat. Those times belong to the 4 November 2026 edition. A 2016 magazine list gave 9pm, so the hour has changed before.
Is Craft wheelchair accessible?
No source says. Tripadvisor reviewers describe a downstairs cellar bar, and one was seated downstairs. Nobody mentions a lift, a ramp or step-free toilets. We therefore cannot call the bar accessible. Ask the bar by phone or message which floor hosts the comedy, and whether it can be reached without stairs.
Can I pay by card at Craft?
The Tripadvisor listing shows American Express, Mastercard and Visa as accepted cards. A listing is not a till, and it can be out of date. The Wednesday night is pay what you want, so carry some cash for the performers in case the host passes a hat. Check at the bar before you order a round.
Is Craft the top pick for English comedy in Barcelona?
No. Craft is place 9 in our Top 10, with 43 out of 100 points. It offers one English night, which we saw dated once. For a weekly English programme in a purpose-built room, read the Clubhouse reviews first. Craft suits a free, informal evening. Its Sunday show we read as Spanish.
Is the Wednesday night an open mic or a booked show?
The Meetup text uses both labels. It calls the night a new English stand-up comedy show, and also Barcelona's newest English comedy open mic. It adds that the line-up rotates weekly. Expect a mix of regulars and new acts. To go on stage yourself, message the host through the Meetup group first.
What did past audiences say about the comedy?
Reviews of the comedy are few. One American visitor wrote in September 2017 that the crowd was not very responsive to the acts. Another reviewer, in January 2020, listed live music and comedy nights among the bar's draws. Both are Tripadvisor reviews of the bar, not of one show. Their words are in the reviews section above.
How much do drinks and tapas cost?
Reviews disagree, and none is current. In April 2024 a reviewer paid over €9 for a draft beer. A February 2020 reviewer ate tapas at €1 a piece. Tripadvisor gives the bar its lowest price level. We read no menu. Treat both figures as past reports, and ask for prices before you order.
Is there live music at Craft?
On some nights. The Meetup event says live music follows the show at 21:30. Tripadvisor reviewers also report a music jam on a Thursday in February 2017. One 2023 review found no live music at all, so dates vary. Check the bar's own posts for the week you plan to go.
